In Bruges & Breakfast with Scot: Respecting Differences

It is important to discuss discrimination/intolerance in the classroom, especially when you can provide food for thought for the students to respect each other's differences.

Disrespect: lack of respect.

Inolerance: unwillingness to accept behaviour and beliefs which are different from your own, although you might not agree with or approve of them.

Prejudice: an unfair and unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially when formed without enough thought or knowledge.

Discrimination: treating a person or particular group of people differently, especially in a worse way from the way in which you treat other people, because of their skin colour, religion, sex, etc.
